In today’s chat, we’re learning from Carolyn West a.k.a Caro. She is a photographer, creative director, writer, and anthropologist interested in how people imagine the world around them through the intersection of digital media and technologies. Caro is curious about mobility, religion and spirituality, the climate crisis, queerness, and sexuality.

In this episode, Carolyn tells us how she grew up around cameras and found her passion early on for photography when she was just 16, the importance of mentors, taking calculated risks in order to leap and how the creative thought process is different for everybody.

These days you can find Caro floating around the world trying to perfect the one-bag living situation, or hauled up in Australia living in my van, Ziggy Deathbox.

Let’s crack on, this is Carolyn West from The Personhood.
